Infrastructure updates in Spain and Andorra involve sports facility upgrades and urban works

Various municipal infrastructure and maintenance projects are underway in Spain and Andorra. In Cerdanyola, the Les Fontetes Municipal Sports Zone is undergoing a renovation of its artificial turf. The project, awarded to Fieldturf Poligras for approximately €378,614, involves installing a latest-generation LISPORT system with a natural corn husk and silica sand infill to replace the current SBR rubber system. This upgrade is intended to improve playing conditions for Cerdanyola Futbol Club.

In Andorra la Vella, the remodeling of Plaça Rebés is facing delays and is now expected to be completed by mid-October. Mayor Sergi González attributed the setbacks to difficulties with the underground FEDA transformer station installation, as well as general construction sector challenges regarding materials and personnel. Despite the delays, the project budget of €630,484 remains unchanged.

Additionally, in Pas de la Casa, Encamp Mayor Laura Mas announced that drainage works have been completed following a recent flood caused by heavy storms. Authorities cleaned six obstructed collectors and implemented measures to redirect water flow to prevent future incidents. The flooding, described as an isolated event, primarily affected a local pharmacy.
