Infrastructure upgrades announced in Mexicali and Jerez

Public works projects are underway in Mexicali and Jerez to improve local infrastructure. In Mexicali, the Comisión Estatal de Servicios Públicos (CESPM) is upgrading the stormwater drainage system in the Infonavit Cucapá and Aurora neighborhoods. The project involves replacing a 24-inch diameter storm sewer line on Avenida Pontevedra and decommissioning older pipes in the Aurora colony to increase water discharge capacity during rainfall.

In Jerez, the local government has approved a project to modernize the irrigation system at the Pedro Garrido Stadium. The upgrade, budgeted at 17,152 euros, will replace the existing hydraulic system with a satellite-controlled electric system. This new technology aims to improve turf maintenance, ensure uniform watering, and increase water efficiency by reducing waste and optimizing resource management.
