Infrastructure upgrades planned for La Paz 2029 Bolivarian Games

The Departmental Sports Service (Sedede) has identified necessary infrastructure improvements for the XXI Bolivarian Games, scheduled to take place in La Paz in 2029. Ximena Rodríguez, director of Sedede, stated that existing facilities require adaptations to meet current international standards.

Key requirements include adding two lanes to the athletic track at the Hernando Siles stadium and adding two competition lines to the Alto Obrajes Olympic swimming pool. The current facilities, originally built for the 1977 Bolivarian Games, have suffered from a lack of maintenance and require modernization to ensure the success of the upcoming event.
