Infrastructure works cause traffic disruptions in Lages and Balneário Camboriú

Multiple infrastructure projects are causing significant traffic changes in Santa Catarina, Brazil. In Lages, the bridge at the intersection of Café Filho Street and Ponte Grande Avenue will be closed for at least 30 days starting October 26. The closure is necessary for structural reinforcement and concrete curing. Heavy vehicles are prohibited from using Café Filho Street and the affected section of Ponte Grande Avenue, with detours directed through Castelo Branco Avenue and Érico Veríssimo Street. Light vehicles must also use these alternative routes to bypass the bridge.

In Balneário Camboriú, various drainage, water, sewage, and electrical works are causing both partial and total road closures. Notable disruptions include work on Avenida Atlântica for natural gas installation and waterfront improvements, as well as macrodrainage works on Rua 1400 and Avenida Brasil. These interventions involve single-lane traffic, total blockages, and scheduled machine lifting, affecting several major avenues and streets throughout the city.
