ING Türkiye appoints Gökçe Çakıt to executive board

ING Türkiye has announced the appointment of Gökçe Çakıt as Deputy General Manager of Financial Control and Treasury and a member of the Executive Board. Çakıt previously served as the Director of Financial Reporting and Tax and as the General Manager of ING Technology.

Pending approval from the Banking Regulation and Supervision Agency (BDDK), Çakıt is expected to officially assume her new role on September 18, 2026. In this capacity, she will lead financial control and treasury management to support the bank’s strategic vision of becoming a preferred digital bank and achieving sustainable growth.

ING Türkiye General Manager Alper Gökgöz stated that effective treasury management and financial control are strategic priorities for maintaining the bank’s strong financial structure while prioritizing growth. Çakıt began her career in 1995 at Koçbank and joined ING Türkiye in 2007, holding various leadership roles across different financial and technological sectors.
