Ingeteam opens new 25 million euro energy laboratory in Navarra

Ingeteam has inaugurated a new 12,000-square-meter power electronics and control laboratory in Sarriguren, Navarra. The project involved a 25 million euro investment, which was more than double the initial 10 million euro estimate.

The facility serves as a testing center for wind, photovoltaic, and green hydrogen technologies, as well as electric vehicle chargers and battery storage systems. It includes specialized equipment such as a 475-cubic-meter semi-anechoic chamber and climate chambers for extreme temperatures to ensure products meet electromagnetic emission standards.

The expansion creates 200 new jobs, bringing the total workforce in Navarra to 1,170 employees. The inauguration was attended by regional authorities, including the presidents of the Government and Parliament of Navarra, María Chivite and Unai Hualde.
