Ingrid Martins reaches WTA 250 Seoul quarterfinals

Brazilian tennis player Ingrid Martins and Mexican partner Renata Zarazua reached the quarterfinals of the WTA 250 tournament in Seoul, South Korea.

After an initial victory against Australians Alexandra Osborne and Priscilla Hon with a 6-4, 6-4 scoreline, the duo faced the fourth-seeded pair of Eudice Chong from Hong Kong and Eri Hozumi from Japan. Martins and Zarazua were defeated in the quarterfinals by Chong and Hozumi in straight sets, 6-3, 6-3.

Martins, currently ranked 142nd in doubles, noted that her season has been challenging due to a calf injury and schedule changes. She intends to remain in Asia for the coming weeks to continue competing.
