Inha University hosts ‘Standing Upside Down’ art exhibition
Inha University's Department of Plastic Arts is hosting an exhibition titled ‘Standing Upside Down’ at the Inha University Museum from September 7 to 21. The event aims to bridge the gap between historical artifacts and contemporary art.
The exhibition features approximately 152 artifacts from the museum's collection alongside works from 10 contemporary artists, including media such as painting, photography, video, and mixed media. This project is part of the 2026 National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art (MMCA) Art Bank ‘Youth Human Resources Development Project: Field Exploration’.
Students and graduates played a central role in the exhibition, managing everything from collection research and curation to spatial design and promotion. The program is designed to provide practical field experience for students. Educational programs are also being offered, including sessions for 50 undergraduate students and a lecture by curator Chae Eun-young regarding the Incheon art scene. The exhibition is free to the public on weekdays between 10:00 AM and 4:00 PM.
