Inha University provides secondary battery career training for Incheon students

Inha University's Secondary Battery Business Group conducted a four-week creative convergence career education program for approximately 60 high school students in the Incheon region. Held between August 22 and September 12, the program focused on the fields of secondary batteries and hydrogen energy.

In collaboration with the Incheon Metropolitan City Renewable Energy Division and the Incheon Metropolitan Office of Education, the initiative allowed students from science-focused high schools—including Daein, Wondang, Namdong, and Seonin—to access advanced research facilities and equipment not typically available in standard school curricula.

Under the theme ‘Future Energy Battery Lab: From Coin Cell Fabrication to Performance Evaluation,’ students engaged in hands-on learning. This included studying battery principles, manufacturing electrode materials, performing glovebox operations, and assembling coin cells. Participants also measured the charge/discharge characteristics, lifespan, and stability of their manufactured cells. The program utilized virtual reality (VR) to provide immersive experiences regarding manufacturing processes and laboratory safety protocols.
