Inha University selected for AI innovation graduate school project

Inha University has been selected for the Artificial Intelligence Innovation Graduate School (AX Graduate School) project led by the Ministry of Science and ICT. The initiative aims to cultivate master’s and doctoral-level experts specialized in applying AI to the manufacturing, logistics, and robotics sectors.

Through 2031, the university plans to invest a total of 19.5 billion KRW, comprising 16.25 billion KRW in government research funds, 2.75 billion KRW from university funds, and 500 million KRW in support from Incheon City. The program focuses on practical industry application, utilizing the KG Steel Incheon plant and Samsung Heavy Industries Geoje shipyard as sites for technical testing and verification.

Inha University aims to train 50 advanced degree students annually, primarily through the Department of AI Robotics Engineering. Selected students will receive full scholarships. The curriculum will emphasize real-world problem-solving through internships with 37 partner companies and the appointment of corporate researchers as adjunct professors.
