Brazil reports multiple criminal arrests and judicial rulings
Various criminal investigations and judicial rulings have been reported across Brazil. In Inhapim, Minas Gerais, the Public Ministry successfully obtained a court decision to exclude a 59-year-old woman from an inheritance. The woman had been convicted of ordering the murder of her husband in 2014 for financial gain. The ruling prevents her from receiving assets through her deceased son, ensuring she does not benefit from the victim's estate.
In other regions, several arrests for sexual offenses have occurred. In Canoas, a 39-year-old man was arrested after a teenager sent a letter to her mother detailing abuses. In Manaus, a 55-year-old school bus driver was arrested on suspicion of abusing three teenagers during transit. Additionally, a man convicted of a 2019 crime against a 12-year-old in São Paulo was apprehended in Solânea, Paraíba, while hiding at a relative's home.
Furthermore, authorities are seeking the extradition of a 60-year-old man currently residing in Japan, who was convicted of abusing a child in Ipatinga between 2008 and 2010. In Atibaia, municipal guards fulfilled an arrest warrant for a man sentenced to 21 years for the rape of a vulnerable person.
