Initiative Industrie Bonn/Rhein-Sieg wins Innovator of the Year award

The Initiative Industrie Bonn/Rhein-Sieg has been honored with the national “Innovator of the Year” award. The official award ceremony is scheduled to take place in Bonn on November 6, 2026.

The initiative, which aims to connect companies, institutions, and the public to make modern industry visible and tangible within the region, is also a nominee for the Audience Award. Public voting for this award is open from October 6 until November 6, 2026, at 3:00 PM. Residents, employees, and partners from the region are encouraged to participate in the online vote.

Claudia Betzing, Managing Director of the IHK Bonn/Rhein-Sieg, representing the initiative's stakeholders—including the economic development agencies of the City of Bonn and the Rhein-Sieg-Kreis, as well as the Kunststoff-Initiative Bonn/Rhein-Sieg—stated that the recognition is a significant acknowledgment of their collective work. The initiative operates under the motto “Together. Future. Life.” to highlight the role of industry as an employer, educator, and driver of innovation and regional value creation.
