Injective launches Super Intelligence Compute Index for GPU rental trading
Injective has launched the Super Intelligence Compute Index (SICI), a new perpetual futures market that allows traders to speculate on the rental costs of high-end Nvidia GPUs. The index is designed to transform the volatility of AI compute expenses into a tradable financial benchmark on Injective’s Layer-1 network.
The SICI tracks the rental prices of five specific Nvidia models: the H100 (40% weight), B200 (25%), H200 (15%), A100 (10%), and RTX 4090 (10%). Data is compiled hourly by LO:TECH using a trailing seven-day average of compute marketplace rental prices to smooth out daily fluctuations.
Traders can use USDC as margin to open directional positions with up to 10x leverage. This financial instrument aims to provide exposure to the underlying costs of AI infrastructure, which is increasingly relevant as developers frequently rent capacity from cloud providers for training and inference workloads.
