Injury sidelines Polish speedway star Wiktor Przyjemski from SGP2 Łódź, dashing junior world title hopes

Polish speedway rider Wiktor Przyjemski, 21, suffered a serious crash during the final of the Youth Individual Polish Championships in Bydgoszcz. While contesting the gold medal with teammate Maksymilian Pawełczak, he fell and broke his collarbone and four ribs. He was taken to hospital, released after treatment, but the injuries prevent him from competing in the upcoming SGP2 round in Łódź.

Missing the Łódź event eliminates Przyjemski's realistic chance of winning the junior world championship. He entered the season as the series leader after winning the opening round in Malmö, and the SGP2 points system means that missing even one of the three rounds creates a deficit that is almost impossible to recover. He will be replaced in the Łódź lineup by Janek Konza of Germany.

Polonia Bydgoszcz's promotion to the PGE Ekstraliga remains secure, according to former club president Leszek Tillinger, who noted that the team can still succeed without Przyjemski despite his injury.
