Inmaculada Sanfeliu elected president of Intercitrus

Inmaculada Sanfeliu has been elected as the new president of the Spanish Citrus Interprofessional Organization (Intercitrus), succeeding Celestino Recatalá following his two-year term. Sanfeliu, who also serves as president of the Citrus Management Committee (CGC), represents the College of Private Trade Associations and Affiliates.

Her immediate priorities include refining the collection system for the regulatory extension approved in 2026. This includes establishing verification methods and coercive measures to ensure compliance with mandatory contributions.

Additionally, the organization is launching a self-funded promotional campaign titled ‘Presumo de mi zumo’ to boost demand for 100% squeezed orange juice. The campaign targets consumers aged 18 to 45 through national media. Intercitrus has also applied to the European Commission for funding to support marketing campaigns in strategic markets for the 2027-2029 period.
