Inmate deaths reported in Mendoza and Morelos prisons

Two separate incidents involving inmate deaths have been reported in different correctional facilities.

In Mendoza, Argentina, 35-year-old Karina Daniela González was found dead in her cell at the Almafuerte II penitentiary complex in Cacheuta. An agent discovered her suspended by a sheet attached to the bars. While the Homicide Prosecution Unit is investigating, current official indications suggest suicide rather than third-party involvement. González, who was serving a sentence for theft, was under physical integrity protection measures at the time of her death.

In Morelos, Mexico, an inmate died following a fight at the Atlacholoaya Social Reinsertion Center. The altercation occurred around 04:00 in a dormitory and reportedly involved sharp objects. Authorities have not yet released the identity of the deceased or the specific cause of the conflict.
