Inner Wheel District 209 proposes peace scholarships for Rondine students
Ione Linoli Marruchi, Governor of Inner Wheel District 209, has proposed the establishment of two scholarships to support young students at the Rondine Cittadella della Pace international student house in Arezzo, Italy. The scholarships are intended for individuals aged 21 to 28 from countries affected by conflict, selected based on their motivation and sense of responsibility.
The Rondine Cittadella della Pace program facilitates intercultural dialogue by having students from opposing sides of global conflicts live together. The educational method focuses on transforming conflict through listening, mutual respect, and study, aiming to develop leadership and communication skills to promote a culture of peaceful coexistence.
Additionally, applications are open until January 7, 2027, for the 'Quarto Anno Rondine 2027-2028' program. This initiative allows high school students to spend an academic year within the international community in Arezzo, engaging in personal growth and active citizenship alongside peers from conflict-affected regions.
