Innocent Idibia Visits Benue Attack Victims, Urges Unity and Humanitarian Aid

Nigerian music star Innocent Idibia, known as 2Baba or Tuface, visited the community of Otukpo‑Nobi in Benue State after a deadly attack on July 12, 2026 that left at least ten people dead and several injured. He condemned the ongoing killings by suspected armed herders, describing the violence as unacceptable and calling for collective action by government, local communities and other stakeholders to restore peace.

During the visit Idibia met the Tor Tiv, His Royal Majesty Prof. James Ayatse, and announced a humanitarian mission to Internally Displaced Persons (IDP) camps across Benue. The plan includes delivering relief materials to thousands of victims and launching a statewide music talent hunt to mentor young Benue musicians. The Ior Gboko Foundation praised the initiative, noting its alignment with the foundation’s own community‑development and youth‑empowerment projects.
