Innocent Oseghale appeals life sentence for Pamela Mastropietro murder

Innocent Oseghale, convicted of the murder and dismemberment of 18-year-old Pamela Mastropietro, has filed an appeal with the Court of Cassation seeking to overturn his life sentence. His legal team argues that the court made material errors in reconstructing the facts, specifically contesting the inclusion of sexual violence as an aggravating factor and the direct responsibility for drug distribution.

Defense attorneys Umberto Gramenzi and Simone Matraxia claim Oseghale acted only as an intermediary for a drug dealer rather than a direct provider. The victim's mother, Alessandra Verni, has expressed strong disapproval of the appeal, describing it as an affront to her daughter's memory.
