Innocent Oseghale sends prison letter to Pamela Mastropietro's mother

Innocent Oseghale, who is serving a life sentence for the murder of 18-year-old Pamela Mastropietro, has sent a handwritten letter from prison to the victim's mother, Alessandra Verni. In the letter, Oseghale apologizes for the pain caused and claims he acted alone without accomplices.

However, Alessandra Verni and her legal team from the RS Group law firm have rejected the letter, questioning its authenticity and sincerity. Verni stated that the letter did not feel truthful and expressed suspicion that the text was suggested or dictated by others for a specific purpose.

The family argues that true remorse requires a full reconstruction of the facts and complete responsibility, rather than what they describe as a “constructed” document. They noted that the linguistic structure and register of the letter do not appear to reflect a spontaneous reflection from Oseghale.
