Innodis launches solar plants in Mauritius

Innodis has commenced operations at the first two photovoltaic plants of its Arsenal project in Mauritius, developed in partnership with GreenYellow. This initial phase features an installed capacity of 4.2 MWp and is expected to generate over 6.5 GWh of renewable electricity annually, reducing carbon dioxide emissions by approximately 4,620 tonnes per year.

The project is part of a broader initiative involving four solar plants totaling 8.2 MWp. Once fully completed, the installations will provide roughly 12.5 GWh of green electricity each year, enough to meet the annual consumption of about 4,500 Mauritian households. The electricity will be injected directly into the national grid under the Carbon Neutral Industrial Sector Renewable Energy Scheme (CNIS).

Innodis CEO Jean-Pierre Lim Kong stated that the company is accelerating its energy transition, moving from ambition to concrete achievements. The group's green transition also includes ongoing solar installations for its dairy sector activities following previous work in its poultry division.
