INNOPROM India trade fair opens in New Delhi to boost Russia-India industrial ties

The inaugural INNOPROM India International Industrial Trade Fair is taking place in New Delhi from September 9 to 11. The event serves as a platform for high-tech industrial cooperation between India and Russia.

Russian participants from Moscow are showcasing solutions in medical equipment, collaborative robots, transport digitalization, and non-destructive testing. Moscow officials noted that the city accounts for 45 percent of Russia’s trade with India, with engineering product exports increasing fivefold during the first half of 2026.

India’s Ministry of Steel is also participating via the India Steel Pavilion, themed ‘Forging Together – For Infinite Progress.’ The pavilion highlights India’s steel industry growth and seeks to deepen bilateral cooperation in coking coal, nickel, specialty steel, and advanced metallurgical technologies. Key Indian public sector enterprises, including SAIL, NMDC, MOIL, and MECON, are showcasing technological capabilities and exploring collaboration opportunities with Russian mining and metallurgical companies.
