INNOVAOLIVA 2026 to showcase olive sector technologies in Mengíbar

The INNOVAOLIVA 2026 forum will take place on October 2 at the GEOLIT Science and Technology Park in Mengíbar, Jaén. Organized by JAMCOM and DronDynamics, the event focuses on integrating new technologies into olive cultivation to improve productivity, sustainability, and sector adaptation.

Key themes include the use of drones for fertilization and crop monitoring, the reduction of phytosanitary products, and the specific challenges of mountain olive groves. The forum aims to bridge the gap between specialized research and the practical needs of farmers and olive oil professionals.

Technical sessions will feature researchers from the University of Jaén and CITOLIVA. Practical demonstrations will showcase the advantages of AGRAS 50 drones for fertilization, conducted by Marango Drones and Fertinagro. Additionally, the event will host debates regarding the future of the sector, including production models and the public perception of extra virgin olive oil (EVOO).
