Innovation and creative economy drive market competitiveness

Innovation and the creative economy are emerging as central strategies for competitiveness and development. In the corporate sector, true innovation requires empathy and the willingness to accept dissenting views, as the comfort of agreement can often act as an obstacle to progress.

A study by FGV EAESP analyzing over 8,000 LinkedIn posts from 225 Brazilian CEOs found a high frequency of the word ‘innovation’ alongside optimistic and safe institutional achievements, suggesting a potential gap between public discourse and the discomfort of addressing controversial or challenging ideas.

In the broader market, the creative economy is transforming sectors such as tourism, entertainment, and events. By leveraging talent, design, and artificial intelligence, these sectors create a virtuous cycle of development. Recent workshops by SEBRAE-PB have highlighted the importance of market intelligence, co-creation, and new business strategies to navigate the unpredictable nature of the modern event industry.
