Innovation initiatives advance in Alagoas and Itabirito

Various regional innovation initiatives in Brazil have reached significant milestones. In Alagoas, the Centelha 3 Program has released its preliminary results for the first phase, titled ‘Innovative Ideas’. Approximately 200 proposals have been selected to advance to the second phase, which focuses on project development, including business models, market analysis, and budgeting. The program is executed by FAPEAL in collaboration with SECTI, SEBRAE Alagoas, and SENAI-AL.

In Minas Gerais, the second edition of the Itabirito Hackathon concluded at the IFMG campus. The event, themed ‘Innovative Solutions for a Sustainable and Intelligent Itabirito’, awarded R$ 13,000 in total prizes. The winning team, Matrix, presented a solution for flood prevention. Other top projects addressed air quality and the integration of women into the labor market.
