Innov’Space awards highlight new autonomous agricultural machinery

The 32nd edition of the Innov’Space awards at the SPACE exhibition in Rennes highlighted several advancements in agricultural automation and precision farming. Among the 32 innovations recognized, a notable standout was the Nexus RHM electric feeding robot from RMH, which received a three-star rating.

Designed to increase autonomy for farmers, the RMH robot is fully electric and utilizes a battery-swapping system. This technology allows the machine to switch batteries in four minutes, enabling continuous operation. With a 6 m3 tank, the robot is capable of feeding up to 720 dairy cows using the swapping system. The product is expected to enter the market in 2028.

Other highlighted innovations include Kuhn’s Antea self-propelled machine and Asserva’s MATERNEO 4.0. The MATERNEO 4.0 system, which earned a one-star award, focuses on precision nutrition for sows in maternity wards by adjusting food portions based on individual behavior and actual consumption rather than theoretical rationing.
