Inonu University Opens Endoscopy Unit at Turgut Özal Medical Center, Malatya

A modern endoscopy suite was inaugurated at the Turgut Özal Medical Center of Inonu University in Malatya. The ceremony was attended by university rector Prof. Dr. Nusret Akpolat, dean Prof. Dr. Mehmet Aslan, center chief Prof. Dr. Erol Karaaslan, gastroenterology department head Prof. Dr. Yüksel Seçkin and donor Safa Kısacık, who funded the equipment in memory of Naile and Hüseyin Kısacık.

The new facility includes 50 inpatient beds, four polyclinics, one dedicated endoscopy unit and two ERCP units. Since opening, the clinic has performed over 10,000 endoscopic and colonoscopic procedures and roughly 2,000 ERCPs, serving patients from Malatya, across Turkey and from abroad.
