InovCluster and Castelo Branco launch agri-food internationalization plan

The Municipality of Castelo Branco has established a financial support protocol worth 180,000 euros with InovCluster, the Central Agro-Industrial Cluster Association. This agreement aims to boost innovation, competitiveness, and internationalization within the local agri-food sector through 2026.

In conjunction with this support, InovCluster presented its 2026/27 Internationalization Plan, which involves a total investment of approximately 827,284 euros. A significant portion of this funding, roughly 408,761 euros, comes from FEDER community co-financing under the Portugal 2030 program.

Developed in partnership with AICEP, the plan targets the international expansion of 50 Portuguese SMEs, 80% of which are located in low-density territories. The initiative is expected to generate over 7 million euros in international turnover and create or consolidate 100 qualified jobs in areas such as digital marketing and management. The strategy includes targeting markets in Europe, Latin America, North America, and North Africa, while also providing specialized support for international trademark registration.
