Inowrocław celebrates Year of Jan Kasprowicz

Inowrocław has designated 2026 as the Year of Jan Kasprowicz to commemorate the centenary of the death of the prominent Young Poland poet. As part of the ‘Kasprowicz discovered anew’ project, funded by the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage, several commemorative events are being organized.

Residents can participate in a field game involving a task folder that leads participants to locations associated with the poet's life and work. The first ten participants to correctly complete the folder will receive gift cards to local bookstores. Additionally, a guided walk led by historian Grzegorz Roczek is scheduled for September 12. This walk aims to explore both well-known and forgotten sites in the city related to Kasprowicz, combining local history with literature.
