Inox Clean Energy has filed a Draft Red Herring Prospectus (DRHP) with the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) to launch an initial public offering (IPO) aiming to raise INR 10,000 crore (approximately $1 billion). The offering consists of a fresh issue of shares worth up to INR 8,000 crore and an offer for sale of up to INR 2,000 crore. The company intends to use the majority of the proceeds to repay or prepay outstanding borrowings, with the remainder allocated to general corporate purposes.
As of August 2026, Inox Clean Energy maintains a renewable energy independent power producer portfolio of 9.29 GW across India and Africa. This includes 2.37 GW of operational capacity in India and a sovereign-backed portfolio under development in Zambia, Zimbabwe, and the Democratic Republic of Congo.
Separately, electric two-wheeler manufacturer Simple Energy has secured Rs 1,750 crore in equity capital through a Series C funding round. Led by the Velumani Family Office, the investment will be used to fund expansion projects, including the establishment of a new manufacturing facility, capacity enhancement, and the expansion of retail and service networks.
