Inpode opens nominations for the 2026 State Sports Award

The Instituto Potosino de Cultura Física y Deporte (Inpode) has launched the call for nominations for the 2026 State Sports Award. This recognition aims to honor the trajectory, results, and contributions of individuals and organizations that have advanced sports in San Luis Potosí.

Categories for the award include best conventional athlete, best adapted athlete, best coach, and distinctions for the promotion, protection, or impulse of sports practice. Eligible candidates include individuals, teams, groups, or institutions that have represented the state in state, national, or international competitions.

To be eligible, nominees must have been active and affiliated during the evaluation period, which covers achievements from October 2025 to late 2026. Nominations must be submitted by recognized State Sports Associations through official documentation, including a proposal letter and a sports curriculum. The deadline for submissions is set for October 2026, with the selection process occurring shortly thereafter. Winners will receive a commemorative medal and an economic stimulus.
