InPost delay leaves Polish couple without luggage on Spanish island

Sara Stankiewicz and her partner used InPost’s new international baggage‑shipping service to send a kayak, tent and clothing from Warsaw to the Spanish island of Minorca, expecting delivery within four to five business days. The parcel was dispatched on 29 May but became stuck in a Spanish logistics centre for about 20 days, and the couple only learned it was being returned on 13 July. The shipment finally arrived back in Poland on 21 July, more than 53 days after it was sent. Because their belongings did not arrive, the pair spent their vacation sleeping in hammocks on the beach. InPost’s spokesperson, Wojciech Kądziołka, said the company handles tens of thousands of baggage shipments and that isolated incidents do not reflect the overall quality of the service, noting that delivery times can be extended by up to six additional working days depending on the origin country.
