INPS launches digital database to automate childcare subsidy payments

INPS has launched the ‘Agenda Asili Nido’, a new national digital database designed to streamline the management of childcare services and the distribution of the ‘bonus nido’ subsidy. The system aims to automate the verification of authorized educational facilities, including nurseries, micro-nurseries, and spring sections, both public and private.

By integrating data directly from local authorities and municipalities, the platform eliminates the need for manual checks that previously caused delays in reimbursement payments. This interoperability is intended to accelerate the transfer of funds—which can reach up to 3,600 euros annually per child—directly to families' bank accounts.

The digital tool will also feature a geolocalized map within the parenting portal to help parents locate available services for children up to 36 months old. Local entities are responsible for updating the database, with full integration into the National Digital Data Platform (PDND) expected by the 2027/2028 school year.
