Inquest details death of Paul Flack in Norwich
An inquest at Norfolk Coroner’s Court has concluded that Paul Flack, 55, died by hanging while under the influence of alcohol. Mr Flack, the brother of the late television presenter Caroline Flack, was found unresponsive in his garden in Norwich on June 21.
Toxicology reports revealed his blood alcohol level was 296mg per 100ml, nearly four times the legal drink-drive limit in England. The coroner, Johanna Thompson, recorded a narrative verdict, noting that while his specific intention was unknown, Mr Flack had experienced periods of low mood following several significant life events.
In a statement to the court, his partner of 32 years, Jo Millington, described the impact of recent family bereavements, including the death of his father and the 2020 death of his sister, Caroline Flack. Ms Millington noted that Mr Flack had struggled to recover from these losses and had experienced difficulties related to the decline of the graphic design industry.
