Inés Gómez Mont releases debut novel amid legal proceedings

Former television host Inés Gómez Mont has debuted as a novelist with the release of ‘Ley de Fuego’, an 815-page legal thriller. The book, which explores themes of crime, power, and romance within Mexican high society, was released on September 11 and is available via Amazon.

The literary launch coincides with ongoing legal challenges for Gómez Mont and her husband, Víctor Manuel Álvarez Puga. While Interpol recently removed the international red notices previously issued against them, Mexican authorities maintain active arrest warrants. The couple is under investigation for alleged involvement in organized crime, money laundering, and embezzlement.

Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum stated that her administration will continue to seek the couple's extradition, requesting reciprocity from international authorities. Gómez Mont, who currently resides in Miami, has indicated that she intends to continue her writing career, with plans for future works including a non-fiction title based on real events.
