INSA Yacht Festival 2026 promotes Indonesia's marine tourism
The Indonesian National Shipowners’ Association (INSA) is hosting the 3rd biennial INSA Yacht Festival 2026 at Benoa Marina, Bali, from August 7 to 9, 2026. The event aims to strengthen Indonesia's marine tourism ecosystem and promote a marine lifestyle as a new facet of Indonesian tourism.
Minister of Tourism Widiyanti Putri Wardhana stated that the festival serves as a showcase for Indonesia's readiness to become a world-class marine tourism destination. She noted that yacht tourism, alongside cruise tourism and diving, is a primary pillar of high-quality marine tourism development. Given Indonesia's status as the world's largest archipelago and part of the Coral Triangle, the government aims to leverage its marine biodiversity to attract both domestic and international visitors.
Developing the yacht sector is expected to create a multiplier effect for the regional economy, benefiting the shipping industry, marinas, shipyards, and coastal micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs). Carmelita Hartoto, General Chair of INSA, emphasized the need for collaboration between central and regional governments, business actors, and associations to optimize this potential and add value to the national economy.
