Inshallah wins $100,000 maiden debut at Del Mar

Inshallah, a $2.1 million colt and son of Flightline, won his career debut at Del Mar in a $100,000 maiden special weight dirt sprint. Owned by KAS Stables and trained by John Sadler, the chestnut colt was the odds-on favorite.

Jockey Joel Rosario rode Inshallah to a 1 1/2-length victory in the 5 1/2-furlong race. The colt took an early lead with opening fractions of :21.52 and :44.44, maintaining control throughout the race. The winning time was 1:03.11 on a fast track.

Icanthelpmyself finished second, while Domenici took third. The race also involved a disqualification of Absolution, who was moved from fifth to sixth place after stewards determined the runner interfered with other horses during the race.
