Insidious: Out of the Further arrives on digital platforms

The sixth installment of the horror franchise, ‘Insidious: Out of the Further’, has officially transitioned to digital platforms for purchase and rental. Following its theatrical run which began on August 21, 2026, the film became available for digital consumption on October 6, 2026.

Directed by Jacob Chase and produced by Blumhouse, the film serves as a direct sequel to 2023’s ‘The Red Door’. The plot shifts focus to Gemma, played by Amelia Eve, a single mother who discovers she is a ‘courier’ capable of transporting entities between the real world and the ‘Further’, a purgatorial realm. The narrative involves her struggle against Cyrus Lam, a demonized cult leader attempting to lead an invasion of the living world. Lin Shaye reprises her role as Elise Rainier.

Physical media releases, including Blu-ray and DVD, are scheduled to arrive on December 1, 2026. While a subscription streaming debut on platforms like Netflix has been speculated for late December, no official announcement has been made by Sony or Netflix.
