Insidious: Out of the Further completes filming in Australia

The sixth installment of the horror franchise, ‘Insidious: Out of the Further’, directed by Jacob Chase, has completed filming. The production primarily took place in and around Melbourne, Australia, between late September and mid-November 2025.

The film's production reportedly injected approximately $29 million into the Australian economy and generated over 513 local jobs, including 205 crew members. The story follows Gemma, a young mother played by Amelia Eve, who discovers she can bridge the gap between the mortal world and ‘The Further’, a purgatory realm for lost souls. This ability allows vengeful spirits and demons to enter the real world.

Produced by Sony Pictures, the film features returning cast member Lin Shaye as Elise Rainier. The final trailer and new posters have been released as part of the promotional rollout.
