Insight Marine opens Belfast office to target UK offshore wind market

Insight Marine, an engineering design and commercial advisory firm headquartered in Ireland, has opened a new office in Belfast to expand its presence in Northern Ireland and the United Kingdom. The new location in Donegal Square will be managed by Marine & Energy Director Sarah Gibson and Ports Technical Director Diarmuid O’Loan.

The expansion targets the UK market, specifically focusing on ports, harbors, offshore wind, and subsea transmission infrastructure. This move follows the success of the UK’s AR7 Contracts for Difference auction, which secured 8.4 GW of offshore wind capacity and is expected to unlock approximately £22 billion in private investment. The company aims to support developers, port operators, and public bodies as the industry anticipates further development through upcoming auction cycles.
