InsightPenedès launches third edition of youth innovation contest

The third edition of InsightPenedès, an innovation contest for young people, has launched in the Penedès region. Organized by the Fundació Pro-Penedès and the Vilafranca del Penedès City Council, with support from the Diputació de Barcelona, the initiative aims to connect young talent with the local business fabric.

Eight companies are supporting the project, including returning sponsors Miguel Torres S.A., Casa Ametller, Güell S.A., DPR Automatismos, Gedia, and Llach Serra & Associats, alongside new participants Innova and Pere Valls. The contest offers 3,750 euros in prizes and is open to individuals or teams aged 16 to 35.

Participants can submit proposals addressing challenges such as sustainability, mobility, technology, viticulture, climate change, natural resources, and social inclusion. Previous winners have seen significant success, including the development of an oidium biosensor and the EmbàsDF project.
