Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code conclave held in Kolkata

A conclave titled ‘IBC @ Crossroads: A Decade of Evolution, The Road Ahead’ was held in Kolkata on August 8, 2026, to review the ten-year journey of the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code, 2016.

The event, organized by Views Exchange and the Insolvency Professional Agency of the Institute of Cost Accountants of India (IPA-ICMAI) with support from the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Board of India (IBBI), brought together over 150 delegates. Participants included insolvency professionals, members of the judiciary, regulators, bankers, and legal practitioners.

Key speakers included IBBI Chairperson Ravi Mital and representatives from the State Bank of India and the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) Kolkata. The discussions focused on emerging challenges, evolving practices, and the future direction of the insolvency ecosystem.
