Marvel's Wolverine video game set for September 15, 2026 PS5 launch

Insomniac Games confirmed that the PlayStation 5 exclusive Marvel's Wolverine will release on September 15, 2026. Two pre‑order tiers are available: a Standard Edition at $69.99 and a Digital Deluxe Edition at $79.99, the latter adding five exclusive suits, five claw variants and extra technique points. All pre‑orders grant an instant unlock of the classic brown suit, reflective claws, one ability point and four PlayStation avatars. A Collector’s Edition will not be offered.

The State of Play showcase revealed gameplay featuring brutal, visceral combat, a low‑gore accessibility mode, and story elements such as Logan confronting the Reavers, teaming with Jean Grey, and reluctantly allying with Sabretooth. The game’s world includes locations like Madripoor, the Canadian wilderness and Tokyo. The developers emphasized that the violence is presented as efficient rather than celebratory, with an optional toggle for reduced gore to meet broader market standards.
