Insomniac Games' Marvel’s Wolverine reaches gold status for 2026 release

Insomniac Games has announced that Marvel’s Wolverine has officially reached ‘gold’ status, meaning the primary development is complete and the game is ready for mass production and distribution. The title is scheduled for a global release on September 15, 2026, exclusively for PlayStation 5.

To celebrate the milestone, the studio revealed that players will be able to unlock and equip ‘Gold Claws’ within the game. The Digital Deluxe Edition will also feature exclusive content, including five unique costumes inspired by comic books and original designs, such as the ‘Savage’ suit designed by Adam Kubert.

The game is expected to feature a darker, more visceral combat style compared to previous Insomniac titles like Marvel’s Spider-Man. The narrative follows Logan through various global locations, including Canada, Tokyo, and Madripoor, as he deals with threats like Bolivar Trask and the Reavers.
