Insomniac Games denies AI use in Marvel's Wolverine

Insomniac Games has denied allegations that its new title, Marvel's Wolverine, utilized generative artificial intelligence to create in-game assets. The controversy began after players shared social media clips showing distorted restroom signage where silhouettes appeared merged or deformed, a visual error often associated with AI-generated imagery.

James Stevenson, Insomniac's Director of Community and Marketing, clarified that the visual anomalies are the result of a technical UV map bug rather than AI usage. He stated, “There are no AI-generated assets in Marvel's Wolverine,” and confirmed that a patch is being developed to fix the texture mapping errors.

The studio is also addressing other post-launch feedback regarding visual guidance and gameplay elements to improve the player experience.
