Insomniac Games reportedly still developing Marvel’s Venom spin-off

Insomniac Games is reportedly continuing development on an unannounced Marvel’s Venom spin-off game, despite long-standing rumors of its cancellation. Industry insider NateTheHate2 stated that the project is “very much still in development upon last check,” though no official announcement or release date has been provided by Insomniac or Sony.

Speculation regarding the project's cancellation intensified following the death of actor Tony Todd, who voiced Venom in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, and comments from voice actor Nadji Jeter suggesting the project might have been halted. However, Bloomberg journalist Jason Schreier has previously denied these claims, asserting that development remains active.

The existence of the Venom project was first brought to light through a 2023 ransomware attack on Insomniac, which leaked internal roadmaps. Leaked details suggest the game could feature Eddie Brock as the protagonist, potentially including playable characters such as Peter Parker and Miles Morales, with a possible release window around 2027.
