Inspectorio AI Enables US/EU Apparel Retailers to Meet New Supply‑Chain Rules

U.S. and European regulators are tightening supply‑chain oversight, with the United States rolling out an expanded Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) framework and the European Union preparing a Digital Product Passport (DPP). Apparel retailers such as Gap, Mango, ASOS and H&M are turning to AI‑driven platforms to map and trace multi‑tier supply chains and produce the detailed compliance documentation required.

Inspectorio, a U.S. firm, offers an AI‑powered supply‑chain management solution. Mark Burstein, senior vice‑president for the Americas, said the system can cut the time needed to compile compliance reports from days or weeks to “just one hour.” The platform aggregates data on labor‑audit reports, purchase orders, water usage and CO₂ emissions across primary, secondary and tertiary suppliers, enabling firms to demonstrate legal compliance and respond to heightened risk from pandemics, tariff hikes and geopolitical tensions.

By automating traceability, the AI tools help retailers address the complex mix of variables—raw‑material origins, tariff rates, environmental regulations and weather patterns—that affect product manufacturing and shipment, thereby reducing exposure to regulatory penalties and supply‑chain disruptions.
