Inspire Oman Summit to focus on green economy and sustainability

The inaugural Inspire Oman Summit, held in partnership with the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry, will focus on the Sultanate’s economic diversification and green economy initiatives. Scheduled for October 14 at The St. Regis Al Mouj Muscat, the event features business pioneers discussing infrastructure, commerce, and construction, alongside sessions dedicated to sustainability and the circular economy.

Under the Oman Vision 2040 framework, the country is working toward net-zero carbon emissions by 2050. Key areas of development include renewable energy, green hydrogen hubs in Duqm and Dhofar, and urban sustainability projects. The summit will also feature discussions on waste management, including metal waste recycling, water reclamation, and lubricant re-refining, led by industrial experts.

As Oman implements the Energy Efficiency and Sustainability Code, there is a growing demand for green building consultancy to help developers navigate new regulations and align with international standards such as LEED and BREEAM.
