Insta360 compares X6 and X5 360-degree cameras

Insta360 has released the X6, succeeding the previous X5 model in its lineup of specialized 360-degree cameras. While both devices utilize dual sensors and lenses, the X6 features a redesigned chassis that is shorter, wider, and thicker than the elongated design of the X5.

Weight remains similar between the two models, with the X6 weighing 196g compared to the X5's 202g. A notable hardware change is the display; the X6 utilizes a 2.32-inch OLED touchscreen, which offers higher brightness and better contrast than the X5's 2.5-inch LCD, despite having slightly lower sharpness. Additionally, the X6 has removed front hardware buttons, shifting more functionality to the touchscreen interface.
