Insta360 launches Luna Pro and Luna Ultra 8K gimbal cameras

Insta360 has expanded its gimbal camera lineup with the introduction of the Luna Pro and Luna Ultra models, developed in collaboration with Leica.

The Luna Pro features a single 1-inch main sensor paired with a 20mm Leica lens (f/1.8). It is capable of recording 8K video at 30fps with Dolby Vision support and offers a 10-bit I-LOG color profile with a 14-stop dynamic range. For photography, it provides 37MP resolution and 4x digital zoom. The device is designed for professional workflows, offering direct compatibility with Blackmagic DaVinci Resolve.

The Luna Ultra serves as the flagship dual-camera model. It utilizes a dual-lens system consisting of a 1-inch main sensor and a 1/1.3-inch professional telephoto lens with an f/2.0 aperture. The Luna Ultra includes three-axis mechanical stabilization, AI-based tracking, and a removable 2-inch OLED touchscreen for remote control up to 20 meters. Pre-orders for the Ultra model were scheduled to open in June with pricing starting at 729 euros.
